Meet Dr. Shevin Sheikhmous

Orthodontics is not just a career for Dr. Shevin Sheikhmous, it is her passion. Having had major dental work as a result of a childhood accident, she was amazed by the transformative and life changing experience. From then on, she knew that she wanted to transform the lives of others in the same way. 

Education

Dr. Shevin Sheikhmous started on that path in her home country of Syria, completing her DDS at Kalamoon University. Then, opportunity knocked with a chance to study in the United States, and she jumped at the chance. She was first involved in public health research at Harvard School of Dental Public Health, and then completed both her fellowship and orthodontics residency at Jacksonville University, where she also received her Master of Science in Dentistry.

Her priority is to listen to the needs of her patients and customize treatment for them. As an Orthodontist, she doesn’t just realign teeth; she treats her patients as individuals with unique needs, giving them a healthy, long-lasting smile. She hopes to make every experience with her easy, efficient and enjoyable.

Beyond Orthodontics

Dr. Shevin Sheikhmous is fluent in English, Kurdish and Arabic. Outside the office, Dr. Shevin enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, traveling, cooking, hiking and scuba diving.
